A Woman After God's Own Heart

This January, a special study for women is being offered at TPCoSS. Based on the best selling book by Elizabeth George, A Woman After God's Own Heart, women will have the opportunity explore what God wants for all of us in our lives. The study will examine raising children, strengthening the relationship with your spouse, and making your house a home. Through careful insight, the author provides guidance for women like you in setting priorities and goals, so that you can practice time management in a fashion that aids you in your struggle to focus on what is truly most important in your life. It is an instructional guide that reminds us that when pursuing God is our ultimate goal, everything else falls into place. For additional information on this upcoming class, contact Tracey Hollins in the church office (727.372.7203).

Nooma: Spiritual Life

Do you often feel like life gets in the way of living a spiritual life and having a close relationship with God? Maybe its time to consider NOOMA. The name NOOMA is an English phonetic spelling of the Greek word pneuma, which is commonly translated into “spirit” or “breath”. Pneumatology refers to the study of spiritual beings, particularly the interactions between humans and God. Starting January 15th, Sunday mornings at 10am will become a time for you to reconnect with God. Join us in the church library, located in Founders Hall, as we begin this engaging series on building a foundation for our relationship with God. Drop the kids off at Sunday school and join us for a donut and cup of coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. For more information, contact Jeremy Marzicola in the church office (727.372.7203).

Hebrews: A Covenant Sealed

It is often said that the book of Hebrews establishes the, "...absolute supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ as revealer and as mediator of God's grace." The prophecies and promises of the Old Testament are fulfilled in the "new covenant" (or "New Testament"), of which Christ is the mediator. Hebrews could be called "the book of better things" since the two Greek words for "better" and "superior" occur 15 times in the letter. It is a book that speaks of "hesed," God's ever faithful, relentless, and unrestrained love for us. Ultimately, the book of Hebrews affirms that Jesus Christ is the seal upon the God's covenant with you and I, his people. Join us Monday afternoons at 2pm for an in-depth study. The classes begin January 9th. For additional information, please contact the church office at 727.372.7203.
